Attached are photos of my former department's apparatus. Not pictured are a light rescue/brush truck (Rescue 2) and back up ambulance (Medic 125). The department has 6 full time personnel (firefighters, EMT-Bs, paramedics), approximately 20-25 volunteer firefighters/EMT-Bs, and serve a population of 8,700 - including a large industrial area.

1: Squad 1 (Chase truck on EMS calls, 1st due on brush fires, etc) = 2003 Ford F-350 SuperDuty/Danko. 200gpm/200gal

2: Tanker 3 (Responds to all structure fires in outlaying areas, mutual aid) = 2002 Kenworth/Deep South. 500gpm/2200gal

3: Tanker 4 (Reserve tanker, mutual aid - converted milk truck, 2nd largest tanker in county) = 1987 Ford LN/Bluegrass. 250gpm/4000gal

4: Engine 5 (Responds to all structure fires) = 1989 Ford C/FMC. 1250gpm/1000gal

5: Rescue 6 (Heavy Rescue - responds to all structure fires, MVAs, serves as command post, etc) = 1987 Pierce Lance Walk-Around Heavy Rescue (Refurbished, purchased from Klein, TX in 2001)

6: Engine 7 (First due on all fires, MVAs, etc) = 1999 Pierce Saber. 1250gpm/1000gal

7: Tower/Ladder 9 (Responds to multi-level fires) = 1967 Maxim F/1987 Pierce Refurb 75ft Snorkel. 1000gpm/250gal

8: Medic 124 (ALS service, mutual aid) = 2000 Chevy/Taylor Made MedTech Ambulance

Sweet love the small brush truck i wish my department had more of them. For some reason our chief loves huge trucks but i think we could use a couple little ones like that F-250

I'm attempting to find better pics of the other brush/rescue truck (Squad/Rescue 2)... it's probably my most favorite rig in the fleet. This is the only one I can dig up, as of now. It has 4 wide spray nozzles at the front of the truck and 3 at the rear, for ground level wildfire suppression. It's pretty BA.

Looks like a nice fleet there. Few questions though. Why does Rescue-6 have green to the front left (also, is it even legal to have it on official apparatus in IN? I know it is the designated color for EMS POVs but I've never seen it on an actual apparatus nor have I read anything about it in the lighting laws)? Also, why are the front headlights flipped on Engine 7 compared to those on Rescue 6?

To the best of my knowledge (I'll have to get it confirmed), it's legal for fire apparatus such as this heavy rescue to display green, as it also serves as a command rig. The truck itself was yellow when we purchased it from Texas - the lighting and it's configuration is all original and as it was when we took possession from the TX department (maybe green is common in TX?). The headlights/lighting configuration on Engine 7 was actually speced out by my department as it was built brand new, from the ground up with our specs, from Pierce.

Its nice to see a Maxim outside of New England. It looks very sharp. How does it run?

I haven't been on the department in a couple of years, so I can't vouch for it's current state, but when I was active it ran like a champ. Loved taking that 40yr old beast out!

I love tower 9, she's a beauty. I also love the red / blue / clear and green on rescue 6. Nice trucks you had there!
