My Two Keepers

With the threat of future downsizing, I have, screaming and kicking, started to thin out the heard. Unfortunately, wherever we move, the collection will not fit. First went the bars and now I am selling the remaining beacons and beacon parts. I am hopeful that two of the lights will stay, but I am thinking it will just be one. Oh, how does one choose. I think it will be the FS 174 to stay since it was my first light. I just sold the new blue replacement dome I got for it, so the old dome will stay in place. Plus the dome was on the light when it saw its action on the streets of Baltimore City in the 60's and 70's.

The other is a Model 17 that was a 6 volt and was converted to 12 volt. It started on an ambulance and was later moved to a county maintenance truck. I put the purple dome on it.

Anyway, just enjoy the pictures and don't be surprised to see the Model 17 in the For Sale section sometime in the future.

Wow. Two great lights it would be tough to decide between. The purple dome makes the 17. Like you, though, if I could only keep one, it would be the 174. Frankly, I'd try hiding the other one in with the clothes during the move... ;)
