Need help with a federal signal ssp2000b platinum smart siren

Hi there everyone I really need help with my federal signal ssp2000b smart siren platinum I was trying to bench testing it and I put power to the amp and to control head it power's up and not the amp.

am I doing something wrong and do i need a lightbar in order to make it work.

I did download the manual for it online and I have a hard time reading these things away any help would be greatly appreciated and have a great day !!

@Conrail81 what are you trying to do to test if the amp is powering up? Are you just pressing siren tones to see if they work? Testing the slide switch? etc etc
When pressing the buttons beeps and gets brighter and than no sound from the speaker and when trying the slide switch the lights turn on and still no sound

Does the on LED illuminate on the amp at all? It not, check the fuses on the amp as well as your connections.

If it does illuminate, test with a different speaker to rule that out. Verify that you are not connecting the park-kill wire to the power source as well

I think I figured out the problem can I use any Cat5 cable or does it have to be for the Platinum one
