Have the bar centered and got longer straps but the straps are above the roof line 1-2" and the door gaskets are flared out a bit. Any tips, pics or any guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!
A 49" Patriot is too short for your application. Even if you move the feet out to their widest spacing, they won't rest on the curved portion of the roof where they belong. Either a 52" or 55" version would be a good fit for your full-size truck. Strobes N' More has compiled a useful list of strap kits and suggested lengths.

Here are a few photos of 48" Freedom mounted on a custom rack (an expensive version of the Back Rack) on my 2011 Silverado. My visibility was increased and my roof was not damaged by roof mounting the lightbar.
PS: WARNING - BLATANT, SELF-SERVING, CONTENT FOLLOWS: The all aluminium custom rack and aluminum diamond plate tool box, with all (no drill) mounts are for sale. I have over $1,000 invested. I will sell for $500 - pick up in person in NW Oklahoma - no shipping available

This is not true. I have personally mounted a 49" LED bar on the very roof he has, and it not only sat flat right where it needed to be but it looked great and the ends of the bar were right at the door tops. I also sata49" Liberty (obviously the same bar) on my roof and it sat right where the last bar sat.
Just move the Tinnerman Plate (the plate that has the captured nut in it) to the outside of your mount feet... That's what I did with my Tahoe (9622 Edge) and my Avalanche (9622 Edge, Patriot and Liberty)
