This is our new tanker (AM General). Everything has been custom made just about. It was given to us by The Forestry and got it painted and up and running about a month ago. I forgot the tank size, but it was a fuel hauler. And I know, a tad redneckish with the console! lol Now for the pics!

This is our new Command vehicle (1390). It is a 2002 Ford Explorer. Lights are 2 TIR 3's in the grille (Red), Whelen Liberty (R/B), 2 Whelen 700's on rear hatch (Red), and a R/R Slimlighter in the rear cargo area for when the hatch is lifted. Siren/Switch is a C3 V Con, and a Kenwood Mobile in the front. There is going to be one in the back soon. All install were done in house, but it's not in my installs due to the fact that I did'nt do it all. So, here are the pics!

:SMH: about the wiring. Are you planning to fab up some custom console to clean that up?

Also, why not get a console for the (non-SSV) Explorer?

Other that that, not bad!

What kind of lighting aside from the strobe cans and TIR3s are on the tanker? Love the good use of chevrons on both vehicles. Especially like seeing the chevron on the front of the tanker. Nice work

@FireEMSPolice- As of right now, I have no idea whether the wiring is gonna get covered up immediately, but I'm sure it will evuntually. It will be brought up though! As for the explorer console, we're volunteer and trying get a new station built, so we're trying to save money anywhere we can, and that' all the space we really need for it. (Just FYI, the SlimLighter, Liberty, 700's, and TIR3's were paid by the Captain out of his pocket, so the dept. did'nt buy any lighting).

@Rusted413- Well, like you said, the TIR3's and beacons, an MX7000, and a Whelen series light (sad to say, I don't know what it is!) on the rear under the STT lights (LED's), and on the side next to the dump valves. I will find out what they are next time I go there.

@DLuccia- That sucks! I love the engine brake...sounds like a full auto! Lol.

@Station3- Thanks Garza! It's our school colors (orange/black- Richland Bears). No others like it around that I've seen!

@Respondcode3- Calm down, man! I'm sure there are some departments in MO that drill holes in the roof. Hell, I have a hole in my roof where a lightbar used to be (belonged to St. Louis city). And as for the bolts, yes they are bent, but not as bad as the picture shows. It was taken with a cell phone, so the quality isn't the best. It has a slight bend to it, but it's been 100+ MPH like that multiple times and never had a problem yet.

Also, there is a video of the command vehicle on my Youtube channel. I would post it here, but I'm on my cell phone. It's the same screen name as mine on here.

AM General is literally 5min from my front door. I see Hummers and the like each and every day. My mom's house is directly across the street from their railroad loading terminal in the next county over... We've seen some crazy equipment over the years.

That truck may not be pretty, but it's functional. Glad you guys are able to work with such a program. Love the colors!

Thanks, and that would be freakin' awesome! I can only imagine some of the stuff that's came through there! lol

Shoot I am in love with the tanker. That would fit in perfect around here.

Thanks! We had a tanker done in 2009 from Mid-West fire and they said it was the first black truck they've ever made, and I think they've been in business for 30+ years. Maybe wrong though.

This is the video of the command vehicle:

Here is a pic of the '09 tanker. I love the chevron design on the back!

Very nice! I like the black paint. I especially like the AM General tanker - a well done makeover of a military fuel truck.

Am I the only one that finds it humorous that the first tanker has a 100 watt siren speaker on one fender, a "Q" on the other, and (2) TIR3's in the grill?

That Duce looks bad-ass!!!

they put 700s on the rear, why couldnt they put 700s in the grill? i think they would look SO much better than the TIR3s

Love the tanker it's good looking rig. I know budgets can tie both hands behind your back these days but I'd really like to see the TIR3's in the grill replaced with the 700's or something with a similar footprint. I think the lights placed in that area demand a large footprint and the TIR3's just don't cut it.
