No more ComAlert?

I use the ComAlert pattern on one of my vehicles' Vertexes and I really like the distinguishable pattern. I've played with a lot of the patterns and actually take the time to view them from a distance. Many of the more rapid flash patterns like SignalAlert, CometFlash, LongFlash, etc. just blurred together from a hundred meters or greater and appeared to be doing more of a single flash. ComAlert is slow enough that you can actually see the individual flashes and seems to be a lot more effective.

While toying with WeCan I noticed ComAlert isn't available. Similarly a few other products I've toyed with in person don't offer it either. Is Whelen not using this pattern anymore? Figures, why use something effective when you can do stupid things like "pinwheel" or "zig zag".

Yep. I actually phoned Whelen today and spoke with a sales guy, and asked him to pass along the recommendation to keep this pattern in the lineup. We had a nice chat about some of the new products and he was saying how the push is now to synchronize setups and get away from "flash pattern mess" as I call it. Sadly Whelen is in business to make money so as long as someone with money says do split-fail, I'm sure they'll oblige.
