This light is unbelievably bright! I forgot how bright they were! Comparing it to the newer comet flash strobes, I think this far outperforms.
That is what many people forget, that for every extra flash a power supply has, the flash energy goes down.
If you have a power supply that gives 15 Joule in single flash you will have, let say, 10 Joule at the first flash and 5 Joule at the second flash when you have a double flash strobe.
If you have a power supply that has quad flash and also is rated 15 Joule you might have about 7,5 Joule at the first flash and 2,5 Joule on each of the next flashes.

You will have a lower light output but longer flash time with more flashes. A single flash strobe will give you a brighter flash than a quad flash strobe but for a shorter visible time.
