NYPD PA300

On the old board there was a discussion regarding certain model PA300's that only peaked on the manual (versus the peak and ramp down of a normal PA300)...


Has anybody been sucessful in modifying a normal PA300 to do the same thing?

Isn't this what FDNY uses? The PA300NY or was it the PA200?

FDNY uses the NYC edition of the Federal PA-300 which is 58-watts due to sound db restrictions. :roll:

I believe the wail capacitor is grounded out and the manual side of the paddle switch is attached to they yelp resistor (R25?). its been 6 years since I had one so I cant remember, all it is is a PA300 with a couple wires added, nothing special at all.....trust me.
