So I'm outfitting a 2013 Chrysler 300C. It's for federal LE. This is what I have planned for it so far and have a few questions.

Front:

2 Whelen 3.5" Round Super LEDs w/white interleaved driving light, (not sure if I want solid blue or red and blue), to replace factory flog lights

4 Whelen IONs, 2 red and 2 blue, for behind the grille

2 Feniex Cannons, split amber and white, to replace factory turn signals

Whelen XLP InnerEdge WeCan duo blue and white, passenger side only

Has anyone seen the split 3.5" Round Super LED light head? My concern is with the light head being so low a single, basicly LINZ6, won't have nearly the effective impact a solid color light head will have.

I found a pic of a 300C front end and quickly did a mockup of it in Adobe ImageReady. Which do you prefer?

Rear:

Yet to be released Whelen 8 head Dominator, red and blue

2 Feniex Cannons, white and blue, to replace factory reverse lights

Control/Siren:

Whelen CenCom Sapphire with Hand Held Controller

Yet to be released Whelen WeCan central flasher

The only thing order so far is the Whelen InnerEdge Duo. After the Gov shutdown is over the rest of the stuff will be ordered hopefully.

That animation is sweet!

If it were my money (hey, wait, it IS my money), I'd skip the fog lamps completely. But if the customer wants them, go with solid blue & red.

I like the up-down pattern on the Ions. Just keep it slow so it doesn't blur.

No split light heads!!! solid only! I also think it would work better if you had a red/blue visor light, and moved the 2nd row of ions down lower in the grille. Then you can flash them in an x pattern. Just move 1 red ion to the top left grille, and the other red to the bottom right grille, and do the opposite for the blue. Also, flash only red at one time and then only blue, just Like this:yes:.(sorry it's so crude.)

First off, that animation was pretty slick. I liked that.

On to the car itself. The fog lights, please please please if at all possible do NOT use split light heads.

And I agree with the other poster, don't keep the grille lights so close together. Other than that I look forward to seeing how it comes out!

A few suggestions.

1) solid color is the way to go on the fog lights...1 red & 1 blue. Like the chargers, the fogs do sit low, hence they're only really a form of supplemental lighting & the solid is really necessary for them to be productive IMO

2) I'd put both red ions on 1 side (flashing together) and both blue ions on the other side (flashin together) to give it a nice larger footprint. Put some stockings on them if the user wants a little more covert

3) go with a fast wigwag pattern for the front cannons

4) flash the entire passenger side blue together (1 large footprint). Please just leave the clear as a flood warning, b/c it'll look like baby blue if u alternate the blue & clear flashing

5) I know a lot of fed vehicles that lack side warning, but hopefully u can convince the customer to add something (ie intersector under the mirror, SNM surface star in front of A-post to look like a turn signal when it's off, or an nForce inside by B-post)

When you say "yet to be released dominator," do u mean the duo color with amber TA? Instead of the dominator, I'd go with a charger lower rear deck inner edge. It won't fit 100% snug, but it will fit snugger than a dominator & minimize flashback by having the lightbar right up against the window

I used Adobe Photoshop/Imageready. Been using it for years to do mockups before I start making purchases and do the install.

Tackleberry I know I'm getting off topic, but is that program free and downloadable online?

Tackleberry,

Just outta curiosity...do u think the customer would be interested in nForce in the grill? You could have all 4 units flash blue together then flash all red together, with flood warning as a TD supplement

I have the 3.5 Pars on my truck. I like them. Go with solid colors. But when you use your warning lights, turn off your fog lights. I have red and if I have fog lights on the look pink.

Separate the Ions like what was suggested.

I was originally thinking nForces but just red and blue (no need for the TD supplement, it will never be used on a traffic stop, response/escort only). The only reason why we ordered the InnerEdge Duo is for the WeCan. The flood light won't even be hooked up. The problem with the nForce is the grille fins are really narrow and the nForce was a little to large and wasn't getting the full impact of the light heads seeming the LEDs are facing down and you're relying on the reflector. Even the IONs are a little too tall but at least the "sweet spot" can be centered in the little space I have to work with. The other problem I later ran into is the nForces won't work with the external flasher.

You can run nForce off an external flasher. I did.

But not the dual color ones, right? Because the primary wire needs power to flash the primary color and then in order to flash the secondary color the primary wire and secondary wire need to both be powered.

Am I wrong...? I'm not sure I understand how it would work. But then again, I know next to nothing about SOS products.

I had red nForce with the takedowns. I ran the red off a flasher and not the clear. That is a good question as to if it would work? I have had the nForce and the Ions. Personally I would go with ?Ions
