Pays to shop around

So back  this spring several deputies took on the task of finding an upfitter to handle our fleet, as our only local options were complete junk and had already burned down one of our cars.

They contacted Kerr Industries as this made the most sense (in their minds). Kerr came back with a price of $33k per vehicle for equipment and upfit. We ordered two and then had our order cancelled by Chevy for the rest of our vehicles. I contacted Defender Supply and they had our vehicles on the lot and ready to ship. They gave us a price of $21k for MORE equipment and a quicker delivery date. Now we can order an additional vehicle with the savings.

Lesson learned, definitely pays to shop around!
