2 PG county officers were pursuing a theft suspect on Interstate 95 today when the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed. Driver was ejected and suffered severe head truama, passenger officer in critical but non life threatening condition. They have not yet identified the deceased officer, but he was 23 years old with 2.5 years service on the department.
God bless the officer, his family, friends and the officers of the PGPD.
Without making any statement about the involved officer, I hope EVERYONE that reads this wears a seat belt at work... ESPECIALLY if you are involved in high speed driving. Stay safe, make smart decisions and come home uninjured.
PGPD released the officers name, Officer Adrian Morris.
At around 0300 hours on 08/21/2012 the vehicle was located in SE Washington DC and one person was taken into custody. Its currently unknown if this person was the driver at the time of the pursuit and wreck.
