Hi,

Could someone please possibly assist me with getting hold of a copy of the PA-15A Series 1B or 1C Installation, Operation and Maintenance manual.

The circuitry is similar to the Series 1D, but there are some subtleties that are goofing me up with trying to fix one.

I have asked a local guy here in NZ who used to import Federal Signal Emergency Products, he's asked the factory but it seems they've lost a whole bunch of their older manuals - a bit sad given that in 1989 when i visited the factory they had all their records right back for the PA-1 on-hand!

Thanks.

Alex.

Do you have a link to that facebook page?

I would think that Wailer would have all the various series of Federal electronic siren tech manuals available for the forum members. He is our resident siren expert on elightbars!

I'm not into Facebook, but if you want the all the PA15/15A PA20/20A information from my Old Federal Electronic Sirens web site (no longer online) complete with sound files I will be more than happy to donate it. I can even give you the link to my YouTube video (demo of late 1960s 1B,1C,1D and 2B,2C,2D versions).

Thanks for the suggestion - I checked out the FEDSIG site ,and there is the newer PA-15A Installation and Service Manual there - this has quite different circuitry to the pre 1970's sirens I'm trying to sort out. The PA15 is different from the PA-15A - the "A" is the giveaway

If you can locate a copy of the 1B and 1C versions of the PA15 manuals please let me know? I'm after the complete manual(s) if possible.

There is a nice web article that explains all the differences of the early model PA series sirens made by Federal: http://www.professionalcar.org/federalsirens-447
