Here the origional story from the local paper. 'Routine stop' turned into a nightmare
The suspected gunman died of his wounds this afternoon. here's the story. Suspect in fatal officer shooting has died
They don't have a seperate story for this but one police officer crashed his vehicle just a few blocks from the scene of the shooting. He struck a light pole after losing control. Don't know of any injuries to that officer.

A couple of our officers grew up with him and went to school with him. We have been to too many memorial services already this year. Rest in peace, brother.
