Power to switch box

I have a question for the install experts out there. I have a 2009 Chevy Silverado. I need to run wire from the battery to the switch box. What is the best way to route the wire from the engine compartment to the cab? Photos would be great if possible.

I have a 11' GMC Sierra and there is a hole behind the fuse panel under the steering wheel area. Its got to be at least 1" and only has 2 small wires running through it so i just made the opening a little bigger and used that.
