I have two white 500 series economy led's in a Responder LP and this morning I noticed that only 2 of the 4 led's were lighting up in both of them. After it was on for a few minutes the other 2 led's starting working intermitently. Any ideas or things to check or are they just going out? Maybe its time to get them upgraded to 6 leds from.

I've done quite a few repairs also on leds that were out or intermittent on 400 series and 500 series. Sometimes its a solder joint. Other times its just the leds going. Hard to say, there's no magic "wack it with a hammer" trick. Gotta open it up.

How can I tell if they are the economy led's that you can populate and make 6 led's and how much would it be?

Thanks for the responses from everyone.

If the modules have not been modified, and they are less than 5 years old, I would contact Whelen customer service before exploring other options.
