Purple LED's, Anyone seen these in the field?

Like the title say's, Purple LEd's.


I saw a Funeral procession and the Mini LFL on the caddy was Purple lens's But Not a strobe.


It flashed in the default LED pattern that all whelen led's start out as.


Since whelen states that they don't have Purple LED's, I would assume that it was White behind Purple.


Rotators on Funeral cars are almost extinct around here, Strobes rule the market for now.


So anyone else seen these yet? Or have pic's?

There are purple (magenta) LEDs on the market, but not from Whelen. It would be a white LED with purple lenses and this does work, but not as crisp as a light a purple LED would be.

They just use a purple piece of plastic and put it between the light and the lens! Well thats what they do here in town anyway.

I am not sure what brand they are but I know that they are rebranded, possibly Axitech. These people re-brand a ot of their products.
