Anyone here have any experience with radar trailers? I recently purchased one with a system installed where the radar unit is integrated in with the LED speed readout panel - just an external antenna is all besides that. Im having an issue, looking to see if I can get some help with it. The brand escapes me now, Ill look it up tomorrow.

Anyone here with radar expertise?

I've fiddled with ours a little. Let me know what problems your having but no promises, I'm no expert at all.

Heres some pics of it - its made by Tribar Industries, which is out of Canada, and seems now defunct. Pretty sweet setup with 3 onboard batteries, 120v ---> 12v charger, hydraulic ram to raise and lower, etc etc.

Anyone seen of these? It powers on and all fine, but I cant get it to display a speed, just a LED block in the lower left corner a half inch square or so blinks, as if to indicate "ready" as Ive seen on other radar units.

BTW did you set it up somewhere? Some will not provide a speed under XX speed, otherwise the screen is blank. They also require some distance, more than the length of a driveway.

+1. Also, when is the last time your radar was calibrated? Lastly, does it need a plug in power source to charge the battery? Ours has to be plugged in every few days and the solar panel just keeps it running between charges.

Figured Id bump this - anyone seen a Tribar unit similar to this?

Or any interest in purchasing it?

Last time I checked this is NOT the For Sale forums... Please don't try to sell items outside of the FS forum... There are a few very limited rules to follow on this site.

Thanks :)

I don't think he's "TRYING" to sell it. Sounds like he's just asking if anyone has "INTEREST" in something of this nature. I guess maybe I am just seeing it differently. Sometimes it just urks me by how a moderator of the site can be so rude about someone doing something "wrong" per say.

And I don't need the mod police after me for this post, I know it's not the place for it, I've heard it a half dozen times already, but it gets pretty old. It's almost like you are trying to get your post count up higher or something?

And for SikDMAX, California is too far from Michigan. I would have liked to check it out, but the distance... yeah just a little too far. Nice looking unit for being used.
