Rehabilitation...

After 2 hours of rehab with my physical therapist, I came home to find a few boxes. Well some of you saw the craigslist ad on here for the mars skybolt beacon mounted to the sort crossbar. After an email and a phone call I purchased it and a NOS model 14 he also had. I rested a bit.


I took it all apart and basically wiped it down and some wax...

Ryan - glad you're feeling better. I was tempted to purchase the light myself, but I'm not in a position to be able to right now. I thought that the light had amber inserts...did you switch them, or was the original photo off?

The light did have the clear dome and amber filters, I had a brand new skybolt new version which is pictured in the gray base. It had the original clear dome and red half filters on it, after a small switch i put the clear with red on the chrome mars skybolt and made the other a "construction" model with a nice clear dome and the amber filters.

Those were pretty big back in the late 50s-early 70s in PA. Set it on your roof and there was a bracket to clamp it on the rain rail of the roof.

Nice...very nice...Ryan. Now put some blue inserts with the red and it'll look nice. I'd like to see that Aurora all lit up.
