I volunteered for a tour last Thursday and pulled a fatal crash five minutes in, as a pilot for going on 25 years these always bug me a wee bit more than most accidents. It was a home built Lancair with two on board, no one saw the actual crash but he was hauling ass low over the desert and clipped some power lines. They had to be up well past 200 as the initial impact was about 1,500ft from the lines and spread for another 1,500ft beyond that, shallow angle yet unbelievably violent as can be seen in the pix.
