Ripon, CA police car show - Video added

Weird hill light - instead of a clear bulb turned slightly down opposite the one pointing at the sky, it's got a blue one that's level.





































































Another whacker dares to display his crimes in a police car show. At one point he actually had it turned on, most of it worked fine but the center pod oscillated to the left, not straight ahead.















Ew, nasty. Nothing an LP6000 and a few 3x7 strobes wouldn't fix.

























I love how the interior Avenger is sync'd with the lightbar.

Interesting little beacon here. The front was steady-burn and the other bulbs flashed separately.



















































































Apparently the CHP Liberty has LINZ6's to fill a few gaps...

















Another shot of this weird little strobe. Seems to me that since it's so small it'd be pretty worthless no matter what power supply you use?














Really weird setup, but at least I can see what they were trying to accomplish.

I love the full ultralites on the top crossbar of the NSP units; that plus the valor will grab a blind person's attention.


As for the unmarked caprice with the red half steady burn, were the TD's on just a basic wigwag? I really liked that vehicle until I saw what they put on the front LP (and made me realize there's probably more of a certain overpriced company's products on that ride)

Actually from looking at my video, that wasn't even the right one, it was the black Taurus PI from Pacifica that had the whole red section steady-burn, and the TD's were on a fast single flash. The Caprice just had a fast random pattern.

I'm flat broke, and Air Force dorms aren't really the place to start a collection of blinkies. I almost bought a red/blue split Five-O for $35 since it was small and relatively cheap, but that's a quarter of a tank of precious gas (My Suburban gets 15mpg on a good day) so I passed it up. Since I wasn't looking to buy anything I didn't pay attention to what things cost, apart from that. The time will come, but not now.


As for the strobe MX7000s, they weren't in great shape. The filters seemed to be a little burned, with opaque spots in the middle. Definitely fixable, though.
