will we ever see a return of a remote like the r-5? Something that's small, preferably Bluetooth, that doesn't have a lot of outputs?

dont get me wrong- I love the 4200, but for those who don't need a lot of outputs, the 4200 becomes kind of overkill. I know the 4200 mini is in production but it doesn't seem like it had the versatility in mounting options that the r-5 had

The 4200 mini is actually going to be super versatile as far as mounting goes. It will not be wireless but for a wired controller it will have unmatched versatility in mounting, which is the biggest reason I can't wait for our shipments to come in.

is it possible to still get NOS r-5 remotes? And when is the mini 4200 expected? I know it said 4th quarter after November, but will it actually be released this year?

It's expected to be in production soon. The R-5 is not available any longer. Might be able to find someone with some used ones. We have taken some out of vehicles that have since gotten the 4200 with the mirror attachment.
