Cool posts, and great shots on the H.E.L.P trucks. That is the company I work for, doing the same thing for Ohio DOT.

HELP trucks in New York are ran by the State DOT but the vehicles are owned by State Farm hence the civilian plates.

Actually, the trucks are privately owned, by the company I work for.


The DOT is in a partnership with State Farm to fund the program.

Maybe in Ohio but the HELP trucks in NY that are labeled NYSDOT are operated by DOT employees.

These trucks are operated by NYSDOT employees or contracted to other service providers. The program is coordinated and monitored by the Department's local Transportation Management Centers (TMCs)."

ok, so you got me there, some of them may be operated by dot employees, my company falls in to the "other" catagory.
