Anyone have any idea if a Single Speaker version Howler with Federal Signal Smart Siren will work well?

SIRENNET.COM - Whelen Howler Low Frequency Tone Siren

HWLFT11 - 2013 Ford Police Interceptor - 1 Speaker

with a smart siren --will this howler perform as well as a rumbler ?

Please advise

Thanks in advance

The Howlers and Rumblers are quite similar. One is Whelen, the other Federal. I've never seen one in use, but it's my understanding that they are designed for dual-speaker use. It could work on a single speaker but with less effectiveness, I'd think. maybe someone else will chime in here.

Well, I clicked on the Sirennet link to see what they had. I scrolled down, and they do offer a single speaker version.

The single-speaker version is because they can't fit 2 on the car. I've experienced a Rumbler with only 1 of the speakers working and it's not nearly as effective as 2 speakers.

Yeah...it'd be like running your stereo on only one speaker. Checked out your website. Nice!

I currently have a 200 watt speaker, in your opinion ... it wont be worth it to install the 1 pc howler ?

Like I said above, it would be like running a stereo with one speaker. With the Rumblers, etc., the sound is "channeled" between two speakers to get the maximum effect. But if you have a 200-watt speaker, it wouldn't hurt to try. That would be better than a single 100-watt speaker, for sure.
