Good evening all I am looking for some help over the water in the uk. I have a Land Rover that is fitted with a 200w haztec siren and 2 whelen sa315p speakers. Can someone please tell me what produces the best sound the speakers wired in series or parallel. Also what takes the most power 5.5ohm or 11 ohm cheers steve

While I am not familiar with the siren you name, every other two-speaker siren I know of that does not have dedicated terminals for connecting the second speaker uses two speakers connected in parallel.

The speakers should be in parallel. A 200W siren means it will put out 100W through one speaker (11 Ohm load) or 200W through two speakers in parallel (5.5 Ohm load).

Wiring speakers in series would give a 22 Ohm load, with an output power of 50W.

Hi thanks for your help with this so will there be a volume difference between parallel and series. The siren unit is programmable for power and load ect so it can be set for 200w 5.5ohm or 200w 22ohm cheers steve
