Smith And Wesson Magnum VI

Hello all,

Long story short I am relatively new to the world of police sirens. I have a background in electronics repair and general tinkering and have been enlisted into helping a friend repair his collection of police sirens.

The one I am working on is a Smith and Wesson Magnum VI and I cannot find a single thing out about it. It must have been a rare siren. I am hoping someone here may have some schematics or service documents about it. Mainly because I really don't want to trace out the entire board and I'd like to put the lighting controls back to how it should be as this unit has been messed with. But I don't know what they were like from the factory. I highly doubt any service documents are available but it never hurts to ask.

I have a second parts unit that is incredibly damaged but it also has been messed with as well so its not a good basis for what should be factory.

If anyone can help me that would be much appreciated.

Can you shoot a picture of it, just the front. If it the one I'm thinking of it had it problems.

@MtnMan / Kent / https://www.facebook.com/RetroTechElectronics may be able to help if you can get a hold of him. He used to be big into repairs but hasn't been around a lot lately
Thank you, I will reach out to him.

Sure, I already took the cover off to take a closer peak. Someone added a switch in place of what I assume was another indicator light, the power switch doesn't work, but the siren seems functional except for the wail setting. It goes all the way up but never comes back down. Manual works okay if you hit the switch.
Ignore the alligator lead, its just to bypass the power switch for now.

Well, it is a good siren if you really want to tinker, that is an oldie alright. The manual on that siren should go up and when you release the button the wail comes down correct?
