Hi all,

My Whelen amp is popping continuously When choosing any mode. When the amp is idle, speaker is fine but as soon as a mode is set the speaker “pops” at full loudness.

Please see the video here:

Has anyone got an ideas as to what this might be? This beloved speaker has worked fine for years but I fear something might have blown.

A quick look at the board shows no obvious damage but I’m not expert.

Thanks.

A short in the speaker would be my first guess. Are the diagnostic indicators are showing anything? Does the siren amp produce any sound with the speaker disconnected?

The amp does make sound when a speaker is disconnected. Once the speaker is connected, the speaker LEDs on the amp don’t show anything.
