Split Patterns on Freedom LC?

I'm in the process of doing a rebuild on an older Freedom LC. Is there any way to split lightheads so that only the upper/lower level LEDs light and can be alternated with those on the other side of the bar?

For example, is it possible to configure it in a way where the upper LEDs on the left side of the bar alternate with the lower ones on the right side and vice versa?

It's more for display purposes than anything practical.

This is possible, but would require some creative wiring.

Each 400-series lighthead should have two separate power and ground inputs with each half having its own separate two-place AMP connector. Typically these are connected to a single output with a wye cable. Splitting the lightheads to alternate as described could be accomplished by splitting the wye cables and extending one side of each of them from one end of the bar to a lighthead on the other end of the bar.

Doing this with the lightheads in the rear of the bar would probably make the traffic advisor function useless, as halves of lightheads two on either end of the bar would light in unison.

What you'd suggested is doable. I was thinking about what you'd said about the rear lights and the TA and that's what has me leaning towards keeping the bar as it is or turning it into a clone bar as part of a long-term project. It might be tough to find the twin 12EF or aero 24 EAH-T or possibly EAH-TT for said project, but I digress.

When they fielded Freedoms in the mid to late 2000s, they had split r/w centres whose levels would alternate with a fast single flash. I've attached a photo for reference.

Were these lightheads wired in any specific way? My best guess is that the first AMP connector was hooked up to one lighthead while the second connector was hooked up to the other lighthead and vice versa. The lightheads themselves were most likely installed inverted, relative to each other. That, or it was a special order.
