Looking for correct placement of purple wire to ackieve High Power on both original silver base SS360, and newer SS360C please.

I think connecting the purple wire to +12V gave you LOW power, so leaving it unconnected should keep it in high power.
Depending on the era (i.e. there earlier ones) the purple wire causes the PS to go into high-power.
I don't have any really "new" SS360s but of the two samples I have (old ones - both double-flash), high power is enabled when you ground out the violet wire.
Attached is the only SS360 install manual I have from ~1997 - This is a pretty sophisticated SS360 as it supports multiple flash patterns and SYNC between multiple units.
