TACTLD1 no power...no lights

Just picked up a used Whelen traffic controller for a whelen 500mm led arrowstick.


Control head is a TACTLD1. Connected power and ground, have the arrowstick DISCONNECTED, and no lights show up on the controllers face when I turn it on (both high and low power). Fuse checks out ok. Opened the box up, all wires seem secure and in the proper place... am I missing something? 2 questions:


1. Is there a second "fuse" anywhere inside the controller box? Or common power points that come loose?


2. The arrowstick does NOT have to be connected for the control box to work, correct?

Extend and connect the WHITE wire to the accessory switch for the back light controls.

sorry, should have mentions, i have both RED and WHITE wires hooked to (+) power and the black (-) to negative as indicated in the install manual.


It wont power the arrowstick at all or show any lights (backlighting or 8 small arrowstick led indicators) on the control head.


...maybe it is DOA
