Talon pattern problem

Ok, I have a dual talon with cigar plug. If I leave it plugged in when off, it seems to loose the last pattern it was on. Specifically, the action flash (I believe that is it, strobes flashes alternating with slower wig wag pattern?). Then it takes me forever to find the pattern again. However, since I have been unpluging it, it seems to come back on to the pattern everytime. Any thoughts, suggestions or similar problems?

Unplug it.
Duh.... :hopeless:

It's a pain in the ass looking for it at night to plug it in, plus it will be hard wired in the future.
