The 4416R is officially out of production.

Just ordered some 4416R bulbs from the one site I could fine them on. Waited two weeks and the did not arrive so I contacted the seller. They checked and came back and said they were no longer in production and they would not be able to get them anymore. Refunded my money. keep your eyes out, they are going to get scarce and extremely expensive.

I have bought a lot of par 36 and 46 bulbs when I can find them cheap. Colors are harder. I have some red hi beams in red rectangular.

I still have two 4416Rs in my PAR36 box. One's in very good shape and the other has wear/scratching on the peak of the lens.

Does anyone have a list of manufacturers whose later 4416Rs were sprayed and those whose 4416Rs were always red glass?

I bought six additional red GE 4416Rs off ebay, 3 being NOS red glass for a good price. Nothing lasts forever, so it was a matter of time before GE tossed the 4416R's towel in.
