I picked up both of these lightbars the other day, the seller says the vista is a LAPD model, but I cant find any specific marking or a property tag, but its r/b and has a gen 1 led signal master.

the second bar is a model 24 with r/b domes, everything works as it should , the vista has a cut cable but he had a new one to go along with the sale.

24EH maybe EAH?

My scottsdale PD Aero is setup the exact same way, except the rear endlamps (ambers) are strobes rather then Par36.

The feet on it are different.

lmk if you plan on flipping the Aero, I know someone who probably would jump on that right about know.

Definitely EA or EAH. You can see the alley insert on the left, the bulkhead mirror on the front right, and the endcaps are definitely clear with color inserts.

That blows the words "never used" out of the water.

The LAPD used two versions of the Vista, the first one with full Halogen setup and 5 rotators, middle rotator with red and blue quarter filters in the front.

Second generation with a TCL in the middle and 4 lower deck strobes on a ricochet power supply.

I have/ had both versions and got them directly from black and white LAPD units, just like my Arjent.

I sold the all halogen version some time ago, but the ricochet version is still in restauration. ;)

I noticed it looks like your Aero and photos of the early ones on the LAPD cars site had a clear panel over the passenger side par 36. Did this function as a takedown light, and did those bars not have a solid blue lamp?

Takedown light, it was optional on the 24 and 25. Takedown option would be noted in the model number with the letter "T" as one of the suffixes, so this one might be a 24 EAHT.

Internally speaking besides the T designation, the only difference was a higher wattage bulb on the passenger side, and it was not wired similarly to the other endlamps, The 24 EAH-T That I finished and gave back to a Fire Capt, was setup to flash all endlamps but the takedown light. And Yes from what I hear this bar is back in service and he Runs with it.

I may still have a 24 EAH-TT I'd have to dig for it.

the vista does have the correct red and blue 1/4 filters with an amber rear 1/2 ,

the areodynic bar has 2 takedowns, I don't believe it was a California bar at all.

I don't plan on moving the areo bar, I think they will go into the collection for now.

LAPD did have vistas..I have photos to prove it..mixed with mx7000 nice Lightbars very cool find.. :D I had one of these vistas on a cruiser at work..ugly bars but very effective..it was brighter and more attention getting then the whelen edge on our other cars..I never worried about being visible on a traffic stop with one of those babies..it just wasn't as slick as the edge. Had same bar as above...red and blue but clear in center..td alleys and amber rear flashers on bottom tier
