thoughts on Motorola Radius P200

Anyone have any experience with this model?


I have the opportunity to get one in good condition for a very good price, but couldn't seem to find any reviews on it.

Not a bad radio, but it won't do narrowband which is really going to matter in the not so distant future.

Thanks for the response. It's kind of a "stop-gap" radio until I get my hands on long-term one, so the narrowband shouldn't be a HUGE deal

6 freqs, no scan, as basic as they come its the radius version of a Ht600

Unless it is a lowband P200 which is basically the same as a lowband MT1000 with scan that will not be affected by narrowbanding.

Great radio if you only need a few channels. They are a durable radio and although not the smallest in size, it takes alot of abuse to kill one. Used them for years and never had one fail under normal use.

Definitely one of the better, more durable radios that Motorola ever made. Practically indestructible and they make an AWESOME back up weapon! ;-) LOL

I used to have one years ago. One word Brick. It was a good radio but way to heavy and big.
