TOMAR NEOBE question

I am looking at upgrading the strobe ps in my car and was interested in the NEOBE ps. Just wondering its something worth looking into?

They're as good as any other power supply in terms of performance. There is no pattern select since they're NEOBE, but most of them do have a pursuit mode which flashes the NEOBE pattern faster. A plus is that they're encapsulated, so if you need to mount them under the hood, they'll be protected.

I like them a lot and would buy one over whelen for performance, brightness and reliability. I've had both, just my opinion.

Only downside I have heard of- is they eat through strobe tubes since they fire so darn much... so expect less life for your tubes. If for a POV, it should not be a concern. Ambulances in a busy city.. well..

I've had two Tomar power supplies on my truck and I have only killed one strobe and that was from water. I've had my truck for 9 years now and one power supply is still going strong and my preemption was replaced a year and a half ago. The main supply used to really get worked out a lot.

I have 2 neobe supplies for $10 each FYI

It is, I had them in my truck and always loved the continuous "on" pattern! Worth it to me.

What puts them in pursuit mode? I'm using a 930 bar power supply to run my HAW strobes and would like them to flash faster.

The Pursuit Mode option is only available on outboard power supplies sold in kits/used for HAWs. The light bar power supplies do not offer the Pursuit Mode option.
