Hi everyone,
So this is my first post on eLightbars. I was surprised to learn that the CHP was so early to test LED lightbars in the 2000s. I can't find any technical documentation, but for possibly one year only in 2002, the California Highway Patrol used striking 2-inch LED lightbars embedded with what appear to be two front halogen takedowns. These were featured exclusively on B4C Camaros, especially the Polar Bear variants (double the stealth).
SFGate had an article which remarked on them: https://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Highway-patrol-gets-a-lot-harder-to-spot-New-2803879.php
And here is a video from YouTube which does a walkaround of a restored model with the original lightbar:
So to the question, any idea what the manufacturer and model of lightbar was? Also length, color configuration, patterns? It just seemed so new and unique for 2002, but I was quite young then and wouldn't know the full story. Attached are images of this very lightbar.
