It belongs to the Beaver Creek Metro District (Avon, CO). Never thought I'd see one in the US. I love the truck... but it does need better lighting.

You don't see them because they are so damn expensive in the states. Canada still uses Mercedes Cargo trucks, don't think Unimog though...

Unimogs are awesome rigs but they cost big $$$. There's a huge number of attachments for them so they can do almost anything.

I am sure the old ones were better than the newer ones, just like pickup trucks due to regulations. They are practical joke expensive as well.

Why does the Miami-Dade Fire Dept have a snow plow on the unimog? Last time I checked, they dont know what snow is down there..

Probably to dig fire lines for brush fires. Sure beats shovels and Pulaskis!

Forestry 7 is an all wheel drive 1982 Mercedes Benz Unimog. It has a 450-gallon water tank with a 300 gallons-per-minute pump. It also carries a 3 kW generator, chain saws, six forestry rakes and brooms, two shovels and pitch forks, and six collapsible Indian Cans. This is used by the East Granby CT volunteer fire department
