Unitrol 80k how-to question for you pros

I recently acquired a Unitrol 80k. I have very limited space for switches, all I have to work with is one single pole rocker switch and one pushbutton momentary to work with.

I am thinking that I tie the Siren On input to vehicle ignition, my rocker switch to Wail, and the button to Manual. So that the manual will cause peak and hold wail, and coast down. The rocker will cause Wail cycle, and while on the Manual will toggle to yelp and back to wail.

#1 - is this the way it will work?

#2 - assuming it is, what do you think about triggering the Siren On all the time when ignition is on? The siren will not be used much, I wonder if leaving it on all that unused time is smart.

Any suggestions appreciated

There's a 3 position "undercover" toggle switch for the 80K.

Down is off, vehicle horn

Center is horn transfer, manual wail

Up is wail, horn ring yelp w/1 light circuit

In my old Chevy Tahoe, I ran a Unitrol 80K with a 3 position toggle switch set up like this:

Up - Wail

Center - Off

Down - Yelp

Separate push button switch was for Airhorn
