V-Con loose PA

I have a Code 3 V-Con (a 3692 I think) that has what appears to be a loose connection on the hard wired PA. When the volume is high you can hear the PA cracking as the wire is moved. Also when you turn the TDs or alley lights off quickly you can hear the speaker "pop" like you keyed the PA mic. Is this something that I can attempt to repair myself or should this go back to Code 3?

There are some manuals in the stickys in the vintage and collectables section that should help you.

Thank you, and it's funny that my sirens are in the vintage threads now lol. Wonder if the money man will get me working ones now that they are "old" lol

Not sure if I would consider them vintage.

But this is where the manual sticky was placed.

I have at lease 2 of these.

May a current manual thread should be made?

For the manuals that don't show alot when you find them online.

Hope the PDF helped you.

It mightbe your mic connections have a cold spot and need resoldering.

is yours a plug in or a connector inside the unit?

The mic is connected behind the faceplate and is not removable. The PDFs show the exploded view, but really don't have much for troubleshooting.
