Vector SVS added to the collection

I received this FEDSIG Halogen Vector SVS from a co worker who no longer needed it and wanted it out of his basement. Now it will reside in mine!


It was in good condition and all the domes merely needed a good polish. While cleaning this light up, I decided that I would display this bar in Chicago Fire Department colors. With a quick browse of Federal's site, my new green dome for the right side of the bar was on its way. I received the green dome yesterday and completed my "Chicago Vector" today and placed it in front of the TV stand, at least for a bit.





Before the "vintage lights" police get after me, I realize that this is not a vintage bar. It is in my collection of vintage lights and since everything is going LED anyway, it will be collectible soon. So please be kind and enjoy.

vintage and collectible... a chicago project is very much collectible considering they use a one-off lighting code.

Thanks to all, I will work on a video for it. The last time I tried to upload a video to photobucket, it didn't like it. I'm not the most tech savvy so it might have been something I was doing wrong.


I really like the look of this bar and I'm glad I went down this path for this project. I am not a big Mars Light person, nor do I want to dump a truck load of cash on a Mars crossbar and Skybolt beacons just to have the bragging rights:crazy:.


Going this path allows me to stick with the FEDSIG products that I collect, and still have a Chicago theme. I do know that CFD did use FS Viewpoints on some of their Ladders in the same colors, so this bar is not far off, but I'm not sure if they ever used the exact set up I have created on anything(staff or support vehicles).


Either way I am happy with it and think this project turned out well.
