Vertical or Horizontal plate bracket for 04 Explorer?

I am going to buy a Whelen License Plate bracket for my 2004 Explorer. I will be using whelen Lin3 lights.


Do you recommend a Horizontal or a Verticle bracket?


I am assuming I will have to drill 2 holes into my Explorer for wire routing. Any tips for that?

Lin3 lights are made to be mounted horizontally.


Also, in the future, it'd probably be better to have 1 thread for POV help, rather than having 1/2 dozen threads for each question

^What he said. Linear lights are designed to be mounted horizontally because the optics spread the light out over a wide area and if you would them vertically, a lot of the light gets wasted.
