Vision Gone Wonky, how to troubleshoot?

The pride of my modest collection has gone wonky. Federal Signal Vision, was working perfectly a few weeks ago. Yesterday I turn on its power supply, the usual spin-up of rotators to home, and nothing normal after that. Lots of random and patterns in the little red lights and faint beeps from the control head. The siren sounds function, but no amplification at all. Slide switch does nothing. Alley and take-downs do work, but that's about all. The whole works sits on a table in a cool, de-humidified basement, so it's certainly not under any stress. Power comes from a 12 volt 40 amp power supply. Again, it was working perfectly a few weeks ago. Where should I start troubleshooting?

Thank you, sir. Upon further review we indeed find the loose wire I swear was not loose during my initial check. I blame my wife and her incessant vacuuming.
