Hello everyone,
ive recently installed the DV-1 from Watchguard in my Vic and wired it up completly (including trigger wires etc) because i wanna use it at car meets to record "real" dashcam footage as a gift for friends and to use in promos for our car club. The System is working perfectly and i can get the videos onto DVDs just fine, the only thing is that if i play them back on my PC or DVD player there is no overlay (GPS Position, Triggers, Timestamp etc) the whole thing that make it "real" interms of looks.
From what ive read in the official DV-1 Manual i know that you need the special software to extract that data otherwise its just the plain video. Thing is that you can get the software anymore, ive tryed using Watchguard Evidance Library Express (from a post on here) but its not compatible with the DV-1 system. Also the official Watchguard Player that you can still get only replays the video footage without any overlays.
The Manual recomends the sofware called "DVD Manager Utility" but i cant find it anywhere.
My question now is: Has someone here figured out a way to get the video with the overlays from this kind of system and was successful? If so could you tell me how you did it and what software you used?
