What is a decent budget multimeter?

Been thinking of getting more then just a cheap multimeter. Can't justify a Fluke (even used on market place are still pricey). Been looking at a couple of Klein onAmazon in the $50 range. When I use it, it is mainly for continuity, voltage and amp draw tests. My last cheap one crapped out but it was the first I had with an audible continuity test, really liked that.

Just not sure of brands other then Fluke that would be worth buying. Klein is sold locally at home depot so that is one of the reasons I am looking at it.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Ive got a Klein at home, and a Fluke at work. I use them for the same things that you suggested. They both work the same for my needs.

I've got 3. 2 cheapo HF brand (freebies) that I use for quick basic 12v stuff (test volts/polarity, LED amp draw). And a nice one that stays in the "good" tool box for diagnostics. It was like $30 (15+ years ago) its yellow with red dial/knob (wide at top, narrow at bottom, probes only). It's a buy once cry once tool. Go with a good one.

Had a Klein from HD go T-I before the hour was up. I never dropped it or mistreated it. It just stopped working midstream. Exchanged it for a 2nd and, after 3 days the 2nd one went T-I. Its the Chinese-proven quality for sure..lol

I'd then went with the Fluke. You'll have it forever and its a workhorse.
