Whelen 500 Series LIN 6 Dilema

I ordered some Whelen Grill Brackets for a pair of LIN 6's I picked up, but the light head is too deep to fit with the flange / trim ring. Is there another flange or bracket? Did I order the wrong part. Whelen was not much help and referred me to my installer / up fitter. He is an idiot who nearly destroyed my vertexes.

I thought about trying to flush mount them in side mirrors, but cant find mirror beam application.

Any thoughts?

Different Mounting options:

5FLANGE (regular Flange Mount)

5TSMAB (Surface Mount - sticks out further)

5GROMMET (Flush Mount)

Zapp has it, you need the surface mount flange for the Linear 500 series in order for you to mate it to a traditional grill bracket, otherwise it expects you to cut out a recess for the lighthead body to go into. You could however make your own brackets that only come down the sides of the lighthead and butt up against the flange where the screws go through. Think of it like two "L" shaped brackets, one for each side of the lighthead.

Goto that link and look at the last page and it will lay out the options with part numbers you need and should clarify some thing. Good luck!
