Whelen 600 series LED pattern keeps changing?

I recently removed old Whelen strobe systems off of our engines and replaced them with Whelen linear 600 Series LED modules. Some of the modules will randomly change patterns. I cut the pattern change wire pretty short on all the modules once I had them set. They require 12v to be applied to the pattern change wire and I know for sure the wire isn't getting a 12v source or grounding out anywhere. Anyone know how or why some of these modules are changing patterns seemingly on their own??

If they are reverting to the default pattern, then low voltage to the light may be the culprit.. I've had this occur before on an older apparatus, where two of the farthest lights on the same power circuit would default occasionally at idle with errythang going...

Hmm.. I believe Signalalert is the default, where it flickers to steady for a sec,... The quad burst is called cometflash which is not the default I believe.. Do u have a pic of the rear of one? Is it more than one unit doing this?

You're right, signalalert is what I meant to say. No pictures...but one module has changed patterns twice and another one that is mounted on the side of the front bumper has changed patterns as well.

Is the pattern wire capped on the cut end?  Can you swap the lights with two others in a different position?  If the problem moves with the lights, that helps narrow it to the lights being the issue.

I did not cap the wire. I cut it short enough so it shouldn't come in contact with anything. Maybe that's my issue??

Where is the lighthead located?  One thing to check is if the lighthead in question advances it's pattern when the radio is keyed.  Test that first and see if this is the case.  Then we'll go from there.

There are three total that have done it - the front left bumper light, the front left front facing light and the left rear side light. They have been staying fine since I fixed them last. Keying the radio doesn't change anything.
