I'm a small-agency county sheriff in NW Kansas (retired California LEO/Firefighter). I was testing some changes to our Whelen build on my bench system before pushing it to our fleet, when I let something stupid happen. Hot power got in the siren circuit, and I now have an open short in the circuit which blows the 20a siren fuse as soon as I insert a new fuse. I didn't see magic smoke, but I'm not very hopeful that it is salvageable. I'm going to contact Whelen on Monday and see if they'll RMA and check it, but I'm thinking I'm going to need a new box.

I don't know what they are worth, and your $400 didn't sound out-of-line. If you want 400, I'll do it. I'd gladly pay less, but I'm not going to try to lowball you. I don't know what they're valued.

I'm honestly not sure how much a controller alone goes for as a replacement item. However, I know the complete kit (this config) goes for approx. $1500.00USD+ new.
This system was installed in a very low-use support/investigation pick-up truck that was at a low-volume volunteer dept nearby, which I had installed in a few years back.
These trucks were temporary as they just took delivery of a more permanent solution for all stations, and these were decommissioned. The equipment was taken in on trade, as the condition was still near new. The new trucks came fully equipped from the apparatus mfg.
How does $400 USD for the controller and all listed accessories, plus I'll throw in free shipping to you and some other misc goodies I have kicking around... I believe I have a few extra Whelen light heads and probably some misc install supplies that are always nice to have on hand for repairs, etc.

I live 20 minutes from Detroit and ship out of Detroit via USPS often, which saves the delay and hassle of import and shipping routes.
