i think this is for a whelen commander but im not sure. Can anyone tell me what its for. also for sale i have a few.

would love to have one of those if you have a two strobe output one, I have a commander bar that has a new power supply in it. Thanks.
Those power supplies were also used in the Whelen 8000 series lightbars, as well as their 5200 strobe beacons.
I have an 8000 that doesn't work too. How do you get them to alternate sides? There has to be a signal wire of some type between the supplies.
The ones for the 5200 have no 12 pin connector. The ones for the 8000 bars have the 12 pin connector. It appears that the one in the pic is for a 5200 as I see no 12 pin connector. FYI.... there is NO way to modify one to make it a 2 outlet supply. One could use a 8000 for a 5200, but not the other way around. I hope that helps. If you have any that have the 12 pin connector for the 8000, I would be interested in getting a few. Also, whatever you do... NEVER reverse the polarity on them. It will render them USELESS and unrepairable in less than 1 millionth of a second.
I found that out the hard way many years ago right after I acquired a bunch of surplus 8000 bars. Ruined two or three of them before I got the correct wiring schematic.
