Whelen Core flashing non whelen light heads

Does anyone have any experience flashing lighheads such as the feniex quad or sound off signal mpowers with whelen core. I have heard that the feniex quads do not play well with external flashers. I’m currently using feniex lights but want some different control options like dvi etc. Looked at getting blueprint but I would prefer to install myself so I am looking at a whelen core-c system. I am happy with the feniex lights but I would also like to try the mpowers. I do not really want to use whelen ions. Any help or advice would be appreciated thanks!

I don’t know about Feniex, but Soundoff lights dont like Whelen Low Power, or DVI.

Just reading for years following this website, it almost never “works seamlessly” when mixing manufacturers with centralized controllers. There seems to always have hiccups, not quite right, issues, IF it works at all together.

I get it, and I share your thoughts. I have these lights because they are a little cheaper, they fit perfect, match the style of your vehicle, I am on a budget, etc… but I want this type of centralized control system. I totally get it and feel your frustrations.

But pick a system you want, save up and design a system by 1 manufacturer. It will work out better in the end. I dont want to discourage you though.

I hooked up Feniex Quads up to a Whelen ulf44 flasher with mixed results. I wouldn't recommend it.

Wasn’t aware that Sound off products couldn’t be programmed by the end user?

I’ve never had luck mixing and matching various brands as many don’t like each others flashers

Can confirm that mpowers won't do DVI, they just flicker and freak out. Things like single flash, comet, double flash, and standard whelen patterns seem to work okay though.
