They're exactly what most people think they are: three LINZ6s and one Vertex per side. There is no controller, as the LINZ6s are four-wire control (just like the regular units) and the flanges are for TIR3/LIN3 heads.
We put both the regular Outer Edge and the Piller version on a 3/4-ton Suburban for an
EMS supervisor, and it actually came out really nice:

Take a look at those, I took some really good up-close shots of both sides. And I know people are going to ask: the top Outer Edge is used primarily as a traffic advisor, whereas the Piller is primary rear warning.
I like the concept, but the design wasn't well thought-out. One BIG drawback is that in order to run cabling, you have to literally drill a hole in the pillar itself, unless you're keen on the idea of running it down the outside of the vehicle and in through the gap between the hatch and the D-post. The Vertexes work great for off-axis lighting, but that's about the extent of it; the LINZ6s get more of their light down range directly behind the vehicle (but on the other hand, that's
great for highway use).
I wouldn't put it on my truck, but the idea is something to run with.
