Whelen PCC8R wiring question

If it's like the PCC9R then according to this:

Should put power on the red 10ga. And then power and ground to the appropriate pins in the 2 pin pigtail out of the back. That is the ignition circuit, and should turn on the relay to turn on the backlights.
